Hombres valientes, sabios científicos, gran tecnología, y…voluntad política.

Esos fueron los bien mezclados ingredientes que dieron como resultado la hazaña de hombres caminando en la Luna y retornando sanos y salvos a Tierra.

40 años después, ya deberíamos haber habitado la Luna e ido a Marte.

Aún se lo debemos a toda la humanidad, y a aquellos que hicieron posible aquel alunizaje el 20 de julio de 1969.

COMMENT ON “UFO HEADQUARTERS”

“UFO Headquarters – Investigations on Current Extraterrestrial Activity” by Susan Wright, New York, September 1998 (first edition), 271 pages, is a book ideal for someone that for the first time wants to know something about UFOs.

I think the second part of the title that talks about “extraterrestrial activity” tries to make the book more attractive. But the author does not speculate with aliens, and certainly is not in the line of the “ET proponents”.

The author dedicates great part of her book to deal with the issue of Area 51. But Roswell, abductions, and some other topics are also dealt with.

It is above all, an objective book and for that reason I do recommend its reading.

The author provides information and her approach is really balanced and realistic.

Susan Wright is not a Ufologist, but a writer who has published over 25 books since 1991 including many about the TV serial “Star Trek”, another book entitled “Destination Mars”, as well as science-fiction novels, self-help books and nonfiction books on art and popular culture.

COMENTARIO A “UFO HEADQUARTERS”

“UFO Headquarters – Investigations on Current Extraterrestrial Activity” (Central OVNI – Investigaciones sobre Actual Actividad Extraterrestre) por Susan Wright, Nueva York, Septiembre de 1998 (primera edición), 271 páginas, es un libro ideal para alguien que por primera vez quiere saber algo sobre los OVNIs.

Pienso que la segunda parte del título que habla acerca de “actividad extraterrestre” trata de hacer más atractivo al libro. Pero la autora no especula con alienígenas, y ciertamente no está en la línea de los “proponentes de ET”.

La autora dedica buena pate de su llibro a tratar el tema del Área 51. Pero Roswell, las abducciones, y varios otros temas también son tratados.

Por sobre todo, es un libro objetivo y por esa razón recomiendo su lectura.

La autora provee información, y su enfoque es verdaderamente equilibrado y realista.

Susan Wright no es una Ovníloga, sino una escritora que ha publicado más de 25 libros desde 1991, incluyendo varios sobre la serie de TV “Star Trek”, otro libro titulado “Destination Mars” (Destino Marte), así como novelas de ciencia-ficción, libros de auto-ayuda y obras de divulgación sobre arte y cultura popular.
