A FAKED CASE FROM ARGENTINA

We are not surprised that it comes once again from Argentina. Regretfully it appears that the imagination, the will to believe --above all-- and also the will to get public notoriety are irrepressible for some people there.

From those factors, has emerged on October 5, 2009, the tale of a cow that allegedly was “abducted” by a “UFO”, documented in just one digital photography that was enhanced afterwards to obtain some complementary images.

The notorious contradictions between the characteristics of the photos and the descriptions of the witnesses, clearly point to a tale fabricated by them after seen the pictures.

Did they contacted some responsible investigators? No. The first thing they did was to call a TV station looking for an interview which, of course, it happened.

Many days later, they get in contact with local investigators.

But, as usual, the videos were put on YouTube, so that anyone who likes to believe in extraterrestrials, could find another piece of “evidence”.

The argument for the tale of this young couple of Argentinians is not new.

Already in YouTube there is a joking video done using Computer Graphics, and another one of 1983 –probably from Japan—, although it has been in YouTube since October 5, 2008.

The member of UAPSG-GEFAI, Mr. Leopoldo Zambrano Enríquez has made a superb work of serious and technical analysis of the pictures and related them with what the “witnesses” declared to two different TV channels. The contradictions are astonishing. (The documents are in Spanish).

All in all, what appears in just one picture is a “rod” generated by an insect near the objective of the camera, and a bird – quite probably a gull.

From this reality to say that the insect is a “UFO” and the gull a “cow”, goes hand to hand with the imagination, the will to get public notoriety and finally the human stupidity.

Another member of UAPSG-GEFAI, the Engineer Luis Ruiz Noguez, in his web site “Marcianitos Verdes” has also published a good analysis of the case that really does not deserve more attention and time from the serious Ufologists, which operate under truly scientific basis.

UN CASO FALSO DESDE ARGENTINA

No estamos sorprendidos de que venga una vez más desde Argentina. Lamentablemente parece que la imaginacion, el deseo de creer –por sobre todo-- y también la voluntad de obtener notoriedad pública, son irreprimibles para algunas personas allí.

De esos factores, ha emergido el 5 de Octubre de 2009, el relato de una vaca que fue presuntamente “abducida” por un “OVNI”, documentado en apenas una fotografía digital que fue ampliada posteriormente para obtener ciertas imágenes complementarias.

Las notorias contradicciones entre las características de las fotos y las descripciones de los "testigos", claramente apuntan a una historia fabricada por ellos luego de ver las fotos.

¿Se contactaron con algunos investigadores responsables? No. La primera cosa que hicieron fue llamar a una estación de TV buscando un reportaje, el que, por supuesto, ocurrió.

Muchos días después, tomaron contacto con investigadores locales.

Peero, como es usual, los videos fueron puestos en YouTube, de modo que cualquiera que guste creer en extraterrestres, pueda encontrar otra pieza de “evidencia”.

El argumento de la historia de esta joven pareja de argentinos no es nuevo.

Ya en YouTube hay un video jocoso hecho usando Gráficas de Computacion, y otro de 1983 –probablemente procedente de Japón—aunque ha estado en You Tube desde Octubre 5 de 2008.

El miembro de UAPSG-GEFAI, Sr. Leopoldo Zambrano Enríquez ha hecho un excelente trabajo de anólisis serio y técnico de las fotografías y las ha relacionado con lo que los “testigos” declararon a dos diferentes canales de TV. Las contradicciones son asombrosas.

En resumen, lo que aparece en una fotografía es un “rod” generado por un insecto cerca del objetivo de la cámara, y un pájaro –muy probablemente una gaviota.

De aquí a decir que el insecto es un “OVNI” y la gaviota una “vaca”, va mano a mano con la imaginación, el deseo de obtener notoriedad pública y finalmente la estupidez humana.

Otro miembro de UAPSG-GEFAI, el ingeniero Luis Ruiz Noguez, en su sitio web “Marcianitos Verdes” también ha publicado un buen análisis del caso que realmente no merece más atención y tiempo de los Ovnílogos serios, que operan bajo verdaderas bases científicas.

TEODORANI PUBLISHES HIS PAPER

On September 19, 2009, under the title THE REPORT OF AN EXEMPLARY WORK, we gave the Abstract and initial information of a relevant study done by the member of our Group, Astrophysicist Dr. Massimo Teodorani.

It is the Comparative Analytical and Observational Study of North American Databases on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.

Then we said that soon we would make this paper available in this blog.

Thanks to Dr. Teodorani, here now we fulfill our promise.

His work came to be published by the Italian Council of National Research, that only accepts papers after a selection process.

TEODORANI PUBLICA SU TRABAJO

En Septiembre 19 de 2009, bajo el título de INFORME DE UN TRABAJO EJEMPLAR, dimos el Resumen e inicial información de un relevante estudio hecho por el miembro de nuestro Grupo, el Astrofísico Dr. Massimo Teodorani.

Se trata del Estudio Comparativo Analítico y Observacional de Bases de Datos Norteamericanas sobre Fenómenos Aéreos No-identificados

Entonces dijimos que pronto haríamos que este trabajo científico estuviera disponible en este blog.

Gracias al Dr. Teodorani, ahora cumplimos nuestra promesa.

Su trabajo acaba de ser publicado por el Consejo Nacional de Investigación Científica de Ialia, que sólo acepta trabajos luego de un proceso de selección.

THE VATICAN AND THE EXTRATERRRESTRIAL LIFE

It is not new that the Vatican shows interest in Astrobiology and the possibilities of extraterresrial life.

Under the lead of the Argentinian Father Gabriel Funes, a Jesuit priest head of the Astronomical Observatory, the Vatican convened a special meeting this week that dealt with the possibilities of the discovery of extraterrestrial life and its consequences for the beliefs of the Church.

There were invited 30 scientists from different parts of the world. Among them Dr. Paul Davies, a British-born theoretical physicist, cosmologist, astrobiologist, and author of many best-selling books. Dr. Jill Tarter, the well known Director of the Center for SETI Research at the SETI Institute in Mountain View, California, Chris Impey, a University Distinguished Professor of astronomy at the University of Arizona, and Dr. Athena Coustenis, a French citizen, born in Greece, which belongs to the Astronomical Observatory of Paris-Meudon.

EL VATICANO Y LA VIDA EXTRATERRESTRE

No es una novedad que el Vaticano muestre interés en la Astrobiología y las posibilidades de vida extraterrestre.

Bajo la conducción del Padre Gabriel Funes, un sacerdote Jesuíta argentino que dirige el Observatorio Astronómico, el Vaticano convocó a una reunión especial esta semana, que trató sobre las posibilidades de descubrir vida extraterrestre y sus consecuencias para las creencias de la Iglesia.

Hubo 30 científicos invitados, de diferentes partes del mundo. Entre ellos el Dr. Paul Davies, británico, Físico teórico, cosmólogo y astrobiólogo, autor de muchos libros de gran venta. La Dra. Jill Tarter, bien conocida Directora del Centro para la Búsqueda de Inteligencia Extraterrestre (SETI) en el Instituto SETI en Mountain View, California; el Dr. Chris Impey, Profesor Distinguido de Astronomía de la Universidad de Arizona; y la Dra. Athena Coustenis, ciudadana francesa, nacida en Grecia, que pertenece al Observatorio Astronómico de París-Meudon.
